Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DonationLens, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this service.
Description of Service
DonationLens is an AI-powered donation tracking application that allows users to photograph donated items, receive automated valuations, and generate tax deduction reports. The service is available through both web and mobile applications and utilizes artificial intelligence to identify and value items.
Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use DonationLens, or have parental consent if younger. Each person may maintain only one account.
Subscription Plans
DonationLens offers a free tier with 15 scans per month, as well as paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe and automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the DonationLens service. This includes but is not limited to: engaging in fraudulent activity, using the service for illegal purposes, attempting to manipulate valuations, using automated scraping tools, or reverse engineering the application. Violation of these terms may result in account suspension or termination.
AI Valuations Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Valuations provided by DonationLens are estimates based on AI analysis and market data. They are NOT professional appraisals. For donations exceeding $5,000, the IRS requires a qualified independent appraisal. DonationLens does not guarantee the accuracy of valuations and is not responsible for tax filing decisions made based on our estimates. Always consult a qualified tax professional.
Intellectual Property
DonationLens and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DonationLens and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your photos and data, but you grant us a license to process your photos for the purpose of providing the service.
Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. DonationLens shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid to DonationLens in the last 12 months.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page. Your continued use of DonationLens after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
